With the win, Marion improves its record to 24-12 on the season. The Wolves host Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA) to face the Clippers in a test on Thursday, October 17. The Clippers go into the test with a record of 32-6. Clear Creek-Amana lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against North Scott (Eldridge, IA)

The Mustangs now own a 18-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waverly-Shell Rock for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 22. Independence will face a Go-Hawks squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Union (La Porte City, IA). The Go-Hawks record now stands at 17-21.
