Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX), 56-55 in a league battle.

The Gobblers (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Mustangs come into the 4A-2 Region IV District 15 match with a 2-6 record.

Coming up next, the Pirates meet the Ingleside Mustangs (Ingleside, TX) in a 4A-2 Region IV District 15 match, on Friday, October 24. Sinton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 2-6 record after their 62-21 league loss to Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX).
