Fans at Friday's league contest between the Queen City Bulldogs (Queen City, TX) and the visiting New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX), observed Queen City's volleyball team top New Boston by a count of 3-1.

The Bulldogs (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Hooks (Hooks, TX). The Hornets enter the 3A Region II District 14 contest with a 28-8 record. In their last contest, Hooks notched a victory over Redwater (Redwater, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Atlanta Rabbits (Atlanta, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 battle, on Tuesday, October 21. New Boston will attempt to move on its 22-12 season record. The Rabbits enter the contest with a 8-16 record after their 3-0 league win over Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX).
