New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Queen City Bulldogs (Queen City, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions (18-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Atlanta (Atlanta, TX). The Rabbits come into the 3A Region II District 14 challenge with a 7-12 record.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge, on Friday, September 26. Queen City will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 23-7 record after their 3-1 league win over Redwater (Redwater, TX).
