Next, the Buccaneers confront the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, October 20. Laney will attempt to better on its 16-1 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 5-2 league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC).

The Scorpions now have a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they host South Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, October 20. North Brunswick will confront a Cougars team coming off a 5-1 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-9.
