The Lufkin Panthers topped the visiting Dayton Broncos volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers now have a 35-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kingwood Park for a 5A Region II District 16 test on Friday, October 21. Lufkin will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league win over Porter (Porter, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 15-26.
The Broncos (15-25) will now prepare for their test against Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Hornets enter the 5A Region II District 16 test with a 25-18 record. In their last test, Huntsville gained a win over Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX), 3-1, in a league test.
