In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Grundy Golden Wave volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Tazewell Bulldogs.

The Golden Wave (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA). The Panthers come into the Black Diamond battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Twin Valley nudged Hurley (Hurley, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Graham G-Men (Bluefield, VA) in a Southwest battle, on Wednesday, October 19. Tazewell will attempt to move on its 2-16 season record. The G-Men come into the battle with a 7-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Virginia High (Bristol, VA).
