The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks volleyball team (Newburgh, NY), went down 3-1 in Wednesday's league challenge with the visiting Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY)

The Crusaders (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 25-2 record. In their last challenge, Minisink Valley defeated Middletown (Middletown, NY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Goldbacks encounter the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County III challenge, on Monday, October 23. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to move on its 4-13 season record. The Wizards come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY).
