Texas High School Volleyball - Port Neches-Groves over Sterling

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) and the host Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX), observed Port Neches-Groves's volleyball team top Sterling by a count of 3-0.

The Indians (25-16) will now prepare for their contest against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans enter the 5A Region III District 19 contest with a 8-17 record. In their last contest, Port Arthur Memorial was knocked off by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Rangers battle the Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 contest, on Tuesday, October 22. Sterling will attempt to move on its 11-20 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 23-19 record after their 3-2 league win over West Brook (Beaumont, TX).
