Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Archangels Catholic Defenders (Humphrey, NE), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers (23-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 13-17 record. In their last test, Wisner-Pilger went down by North Bend Central (North Bend, NE), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Defenders now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 21. Archangels Catholic will play a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Archangels Catholic (Humphrey, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 22-5.
