Illinois High School Volleyball - Eastland over Ashton-Franklin Center

The Eastland Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now have a 22-10 record. They play next when they host Riverdale for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 18. Eastland will play a Rams team coming off a 2-0 league win over Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Rams record now stands at 17-7.

With the loss, Ashton-Franklin Center drops to 4-16 on the season. The Raiders host Durand (Durand, IL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, October 18. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 21-6. Durand won 2-0 in their recent league outing against Pearl City (Pearl City, IL)
