Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) and the visiting Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR), observed Sheldon's volleyball team top Westview by a count of 2-0.

The Irish (22-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Salem (Salem, OR). The Saxons go into the non-league battle with a 21-7 record. In their last battle, South Salem achieved victory over North Salem (Salem, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beaverton for a 6A Metro battle on Tuesday, October 21. Westview will meet a Beavers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sunset (Portland, OR). The Beavers record now stands at 9-14.
