The Sheldon Irish volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Westview Wildcats to 1 in the Irish non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Irish now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Medford for a 6A Southwest outing on Tuesday, September 9. Sheldon will clash with a Black Tornado team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Crater (Central Point, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 0-4.

The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Mountainside (Beaverton, OR). The Mavericks enter the 6A Metro match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Mountainside held off McDaniel (Portland, OR), 3-1, in a non-league match.
