New Mexico High School Soccer - Sandia knocks off Manzano

October 19, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87112

Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Sandia's soccer squad triumph over Manzano by a count of 10-0.

The Matadors (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles enter the 5A District 2 battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Eldorado notched a victory over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), 7-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Monarchs battle the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 2 battle, on Wednesday, October 23. Manzano will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 4-12 record after their 10-0 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM).
