Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), 4-2 in a league test.

With the triumph, Sandia moves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Matadors host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Golden Eagles in a 5A District 2 test on Wednesday, October 23. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 11-4. Eldorado won 2-0 in their recent league test against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM)

The Monarchs now sport a 0-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Capital for a 5A District 2 test on Wednesday, October 23. Manzano will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 4-0 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-10.
