Baconton Charter Blazers (Baconton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA), 13-5 in a league challenge.

The Blazers now own a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Early County for a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Wednesday, October 4. Baconton Charter will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 23-5 league win over Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Pataula Charter Academy falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Quitman County (Georgetown, GA) to battle the Hornets in a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 1-12. Quitman County lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter (Shellman, GA)
