California High School Flag Football - Ponderosa sneaks past Woodcreek

In Wednesday's league match, the host Ponderosa Bruins flag football squad scored a close 36-35 triumph over the Woodcreek Timberwolves.

The Bruins (15-0) will now prepare for their match against Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA). The Broncos come into the Capital Valley Conference match with a 7-7 record. In their last match, Bella Vista was nudged by Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA), 40-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Timberwolves meet the Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA) in a Capital Valley Conference match, on Monday, October 7. Woodcreek will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 0-11 record after their 25-6 league loss to Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA).
