California High School Flag Football - Woodcreek can't hold off Ponderosa

Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) followers went home pleased Monday as they saw their flag football team nip the host Woodcreek Timberwolves (Roseville, CA), 27-21 in a league battle.

With the win, Ponderosa advances its record to 8-0 on the season. The Bruins travel to Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA) to play the Broncos in a Capital Valley Conference battle on Wednesday, September 11. The Broncos go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Bella Vista lost 26-19 in their recent non-league battle against Oakmont (Roseville, CA)

The Timberwolves now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Rio Americano for a Capital Valley Conference battle on Wednesday, September 11. Woodcreek will play a Raiders team coming off a 20-6 league loss to Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-5.
