In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Goldsboro Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Southern Wayne Saints.
The Cougars (15-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Johnston (Kenly, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, North Johnston beat Beddingfield (Wilson, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Saints meet the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Southern Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to West Johnston (Benson, NC).
