In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Goldsboro Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Southern Wayne Saints.
The Cougars (16-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Gators enter the non-league challenge with a 4-13 record. In their last challenge, Spring Creek was beaten by Princeton (Princeton, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Saints meet the Fike Demons (Wilson, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Southern Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Demons enter the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over East Wake (Wendell, NC).
