In Wednesday's league outing, the host Rio Rancho Rams soccer squad scored a tight 7-1 win over the Cibola Cougars.

The Rams (11-2) will now prepare for their outing against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers enter the 5A District 1 outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Piedra Vista was overwhelmed by Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 2-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 1 outing, on Saturday, October 5. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Scorpions enter the outing with a 3-10 record after their 6-1 league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
