Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) and the host Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA), saw Lakeland's soccer squad triumph over Mid Valley by a count of 6-0.

The Chiefs (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Mountain View (Kingsley, PA). The Eagles enter the Lackawanna - Division II battle with a 6-7 record.

Next up, the Spartans confront the West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) in a Lackawanna - Division II battle, on Monday, October 7. Mid Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Invaders enter the battle with a 9-3 record after their 6-3 league loss to Dunmore (Dunmore, PA).
