In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Abramson Commodores volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Independence Tigers.

The Commodores (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The enter the Division III District 8 challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Haynes Academy beat Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA) in a Division IV District 7 challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 3-0 league win over St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA).
