The Watauga Pioneers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Alexander Central Cougars to 0 in the Pioneers league triumph on Thursday.
The Pioneers now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they travel to McDowell for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 7. Watauga will play a Titans team coming off a 2-1 league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Titans record now stands at 13-7.
With the loss, Alexander Central drops to 5-12 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hickory (Hickory, NC) to play the Red Tornadoes in a non-league outing on Monday, October 6. The Red Tornadoes come into the outing with a record of 3-9.
