Next up, the Pioneers confront the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 18. Watauga will attempt to advance on its 12-0 season record. The Titans enter the game with a 11-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC).

With the loss, Alexander Central drops to 3-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a bout on Thursday, September 18. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Freedom lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
