North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alleghany can't hold off Wilkes Central

In Thursday's league match, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), by a count of 3-2.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Wilkes Central will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Rams go into the battle with a 11-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC).

The Trojans now own a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Surry Central for a non-league battle on Monday, October 6. Alleghany will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over West Stokes (King, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-6.
