North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alleghany nudged by Wilkes Central

September 9, 2025: Sparta, NC 28675

The Wilkes Central Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Alleghany Trojans to 2 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Starmount for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Thursday, September 11. Wilkes Central will play a Rams team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Rams record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Alleghany drops to 1-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to play the Vikings in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Thursday, September 11. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 7-4. North Wilkes won 3-0 in their recent league game against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
