In Thursday's league challenge, the host Marist Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Junction City Tigers.
The Spartans (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Bend (North Bend, OR). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Sky Em challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, North Bend lost by Cottage Grove (Cottage Grove, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Tigers play the Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR) in a 4A Sky Em challenge, on Monday, October 6. Junction City will attempt to advance on its 9-8 season record. The Pirates go into the game with a 6-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Marist (Eugene, OR).
