North Carolina High School Volleyball - Purnell Swett overwhelmed by Scotland

Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Scotland improves its record to 9-8 on the season. The Fighting Scots travel to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC) to meet the Pirates in a Tri-County 6A/7A challenge on Tuesday, October 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Lumberton won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC)

Next, the Rams meet the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) in a Tri-County 6A/7A challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Purnell Swett will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC).
