    In Thursday's non-league match, the host McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars football squad scored a good 34-19 victory over the Sioux Valley Cossacks.

    In their next game, the Fighting Cougars clash with the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 27. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Titans enter the match with a 8-1 record after their 38-10 non-league win over Tri-Valley (Colton, SD).
