    • South Dakota High School Football - Sioux Valley can't get by McCook Central/Montrose

    September 23, 2022: Volga, SD 57071

    McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD), 18-14 in a league test.

    With the triumph, McCook Central/Montrose improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Fighting Cougars host Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan (Emery, SD) to confront the Seahawks in a Big East test on Friday, October 7. The Seahawks come into the test with a record of 5-0.

    With the loss, Sioux Valley drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cossacks travel to Baltic (Baltic, SD) to confront the Bulldogs in a Big East test on Friday, September 30. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-6. Baltic lost 21-6 in their recent league test against Parker (Parker, SD)
