Fans at Monday's league battle between the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), saw Cibola's soccer squad hold off Rio Rancho by a score of 1-0.

The Cougars (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions enter the 5A District 1 battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Farmington was edged by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 4-0, in a league battle.
