In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears soccer squad scored a nice 9-0 victory over the North Surry Greyhounds.

The Granite Bears (14-2) will now prepare for their outing against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks go into the Northwest 1A outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, Elkin prevailed over Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a Foothills 2A outing, on Wednesday, October 23. North Surry will attempt to improve on its 0-18 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the outing with a 10-6 record after their 9-3 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).
