North Carolina High School Soccer - Mount Airy knocks off North Surry

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Mount Airy Granite Bears soccer squad scored a nice 9-0 victory over the North Surry Greyhounds.
The Granite Bears (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks go into the Northwest 1A outing with a 7-4 record. In their last outing, Elkin prevailed over Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 7-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Greyhounds play the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a Foothills 2A outing, on Monday, September 30. North Surry will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the outing with a 4-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC).
