The Mathews Blue Devils topped the visiting Essex Trojans volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, October 23. Mathews will attempt to advance on its 7-11 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a 7-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Windsor (Windsor, VA).

The Trojans (5-12) will now prepare for their game against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA). The Red Devils go into the Northern Neck game with a 10-8 record. In their last game, Lancaster gained a win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
