Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) and the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), observed Douglas's volleyball team top South Umpqua by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Douglas improves its record to 13-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Siuslaw (Florence, OR) to encounter the Vikings in a 3A Far West test on Thursday, October 23. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. Siuslaw won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Glide (Glide, OR)
Next, the Lancers meet the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) in a 3A Far West challenge, on Thursday, October 23. South Umpqua will attempt to advance on its 9-10 season record. The Red Devils go into the test with a 13-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR).
