Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) and the host Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), observed George C. Marshall's volleyball team top Herndon by a count of 3-1.

The Statesmen (15-10) will now prepare for their battle against Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Hornets go into the Liberty battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, Herndon dropped by Wakefield (Arlington, VA), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Hornets now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wakefield for a Liberty battle on Thursday, October 23. Herndon will meet a Warriors team coming off a 3-1 league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-12.
