Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Buckeyes (19-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region II District 16 challenge with a 20-18 record. In their last challenge, Carthage beat Henderson (Henderson, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 test, on Friday, October 24. Kilgore will attempt to advance on its 21-22 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 5-27 record after their 3-0 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX).
