Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) and the host Hemphill Hornets (Hemphill, TX), observed Groveton's volleyball team top Hemphill by a count of 3-1.

The Indians (24-14) will now prepare for their contest against Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region III District 23 contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, Corrigan-Camden beat Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Hornets meet the Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 contest, on Friday, October 24. Hemphill will attempt to upgrade on its 16-21 season record. The Dragons go into the test with a 8-17 record after their 3-0 league win over Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX).
