The La Cueva Bears smashed the visiting Santa Fe Demons soccer team by a tally of 10-0 in Wednesday's league game.
Next, the Bears clash with the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 game, on Saturday, October 26. La Cueva will attempt to advance on its 15-3 season record. The Monarchs come into the game with a 7-12 record after their 2-0 league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM).
The Demons (11-8) will now prepare for their game against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors come into the 5A District 2 game with a 9-10 record. In their last game, Sandia was overwhelmed by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 8-1, in a league game.
