Fans at Saturday's league battle between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM), saw La Cueva's soccer squad triumph over Santa Fe by a count of 7-0.

The Bears (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs enter the 5A District 2 battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Manzano tipped Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Demons confront the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 battle, on Wednesday, October 9. Santa Fe will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Matadors enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM).
