Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs (Jacksonville, NC) and the visiting Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), saw Northside - Jacksonville's soccer squad knock off Swansboro by a count of 3-1.

The Monarchs (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats enter the Coastal 5A/6A battle with a 16-2 record.

Next up, the Pirates battle the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a Coastal 5A/6A battle, on Tuesday, October 28. Swansboro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 4-11 record after their 2-1 league loss to Croatan (Newport, NC).
