The Watauga Pioneers soccer squad scored 3 points and held the host Ashe County Huskies to 1 in the Pioneers league victory on Thursday.

The Pioneers now hold a 13-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander Central for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Monday, October 28. Watauga will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Ashe County moves to 10-7 on the year. The Huskies host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to play the Panthers in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Monday, October 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Hibriten lost 4-0 in their recent league bout against Watauga (Boone, NC)
