Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) and the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), saw Dixon's soccer squad hold off Croatan by a count of 3-2.

The Bulldogs (13-9) will now prepare for their battle against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates enter the Coastal 3A battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, Swansboro tipped West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a Coastal 3A battle, on Monday, October 28. Croatan will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 11-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC).
