Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) and the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), saw Croatan's soccer squad knock off Dixon by a count of 4-1.

The Cougars (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats enter the Coastal 3A battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Richlands by White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 4-3, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) in a Coastal 3A battle, on Thursday, October 10. Dixon will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 1-0 league win over West Carteret (Morehead City, NC).
