North Carolina High School Soccer - North Brunswick overwhelmed by Topsail

The Topsail Pirates smashed the host North Brunswick Scorpions soccer squad by a margin of 5-1 in Monday's league match.

The Pirates now sport a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Laney for a Mideastern 3A/4A match on Tuesday, October 4. Topsail will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 10-1 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, North Brunswick drops to 6-6 on the season. The Scorpions host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to encounter the Screaming Eagle in a Mideastern 3A/4A match on Tuesday, October 4. The Screaming Eagle come into the match with a record of 8-5. Ashley lost 2-1 in their recent league match against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
