Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 6-18 record. They take the field next when they host Gainesville for a 6A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Lanier will battle a Red Elephants squad coming off a 16-10 non-league win over Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The Red Elephants record now stands at 1-23.

With the loss, Gainesville falls to 1-25 on the campaign. The Red elephants travel to Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA) to battle the Longhorns in a 6A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a record of 4-18. Lanier lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Shiloh (Snellville, GA)
