The Banks County Leopards softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots to 0 in the Leopards league win on Thursday.

The Leopards now sport a 25-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elbert County for a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Monday, October 7. Banks County will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-13.

With the loss, Oglethorpe County moves to 12-11 on the season. The Patriots travel to Commerce (Commerce, GA) to encounter the Tigers in a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Tuesday, October 8. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 9-15. Commerce won 10-1 in their recent non-league battle against Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA)
