Match Summary
The NK Lady Trojans survived a close match with the Warhill Lions, who were looking to avenge their Sep 3rd loss to NK. The Lions took a 4-point lead early in the 1st set, but NK moved ahead at 9-8 and never relinquished the lead, winning 25-17. In the 2nd set, NK took the lead at 5-4 and again never gave it up, this time winning 25-14. In the 3rd set, NK errors gave Warhill a 1-6 lead. NK tied the score multiple times from 9-9 to 19-19, when Leah Rounds' 2 aces, a Warhill hitting error, and a K by Ava Nieto put NK ahead 23-19. But 5 successive NK passing and hitting errors returned the lead to Warhill at 23-24. A New Kent K by Kendall White tied the game, but NK followed with serving and passing errors to give the game to Warhill 24-26. NK took the early lead in set 4, but a rash of NK errors again allowed Warhill to surge ahead 14-18. Warhill held the lead until NK surged from an 16-20 deficit to tie at 22-22, winning the match with 3 Ks.
