Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) and the visiting Warhill Lions (Williamsburg, VA), observed New Kent's volleyball team top Warhill by a count of 3-0.

The New Kent Lady Trojans defeated the Lions of Warhill in straight sets, 25-10, 25-28, 25-23. New Kent tallied 27 attack Ks, 16 aces, and 5 blocks to Warhill's 22 attack Ks, 6 aces, and 4 blocks. The Lady Trojans played all 14 available players in the match, playing deep in set 3. While behind as much as 5 points at 10-15 in set three, the team rallied from a 15-17 deficit behind the serving of junior Hannah Sachs to take a 22-17 lead. Warhill then pulled ahead to a 22-23 lead, but NK closed out the match with kills from sophomore outside Ryan Griffith, freshman outside Carly Sachs, and senior setter Mackenzie Loveland on an assist by junior DS Liz Flores. Other highlights included junior opposite Ava Nieto's seven attack Ks, five attack Ks by junior MB Leah Rounds, and three service aces each by Rounds and defensive specialists Chloe Phillips and Hannah Sachs. Rounds also contributed three blocks, Loveland added two, and middle blocker Chloe Lightner contributed a solo block.
